SECTION 5 – TRACKING, AND ANALYTICS

We may use the first-party and third-party cookies, pixel tags, plug-ins, and other tools to gather device, usage, and browsing information when users visit Singla Logistics. SECTION 9- PERSONAL INFORMATION PROTECTION AND ELECTRONIC DOCUMENTS ACT (PIPEDA)

PIPEDA is Canada’s federal privacy law for the private sector and applies to personal information collected during the course of commercial activities.

PIPEDA significantly impacts the way we handle the personal information with which we are entrusted. At the same time, it clearly establishes a code of privacy practices that provide Canadians from coast to coast with a mechanism to ensure their personal information is handled respectfully and compliantly.

The Ten Fair Information Principles of PIDEDA were established by the Canadian Standards Association Model Code for the Protection of Personal Information. These principles were recognized as a Canadian standard in 1996 and address how organizations should collect, use and disclose personal information. They also address an individual’s right to access their personal information in addition to his/her right to have it amended where appropriate. Listed in Schedule 1 of PIPEDA, the Ten Fair Information Principles outline responsibilities that all organizations subject to the legislation must follow.

SECTION 10- GDPR DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS

  1. Right to access: If you can prove your identity, you have the right to obtain information about the processing of your data.   4. Right to withdraw your consent: You may withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time, for example for personalized marketing communication purposes.

SECTION 11- CALIFORNIA ONLINE PRIVACY PROTECTION ACT (CalOPPA)

CalOPPA is the first state law in the nation to require commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy.

According to CalOPPA we agree to the following:

  • Users can visit our website anonymously.
  • Once this privacy policy is created, we will add a link to it on our home page, or as a minimum on the first significant page after entering our website.
  • Our Privacy Policy link includes the word ‘Privacy’, and can be easily be found on the page specified above.

SECTION 12- CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

We do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use personal information from our website about children under the age of 13. We request that persons under the age of 13 not use our website without supervision from a responsible adult. We will never request personal information from a child under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent. If We become aware that a child under the age of 13 has sent personal information to us without prior parental consent, we will remove his or her personal information from our files.

The website may contain links to third-party services. We do not own, operate, or control the websites of third-parties, including those of independently owned and operated franchisees.
